SUPPORT THE CAUSE:

A large group of volunteers from our Congregation will be, once again, traveling to McRoberts, Kentucky to repair and rebuild homes, and support the local children in their community. The level of poverty is beyond imagination, and the work that will be accomplished is vital for the people of McRoberts, Kentucky. Please support this trip, and the McRoberts community, via the following ways:

(1). Donate Wal-Mart Gift Cards to help the local families in need. Please put the gift cards in an envelope, Attn: 2017 Kentucky Trip, and drop it off at the Main Office by July 7.

(2.) Make a cash donation to help offset costs of the trip. Accepted in the Main Office through July 7.

 

WHAT'S THE KENTUCKY MITZVAH TRIP?

 

For the 7th year in a row, volunteers from Shaarai Shomayim will be traveling to the Appalachian area to support the community of McRoberts, Kentucky. A large group of volunteers have a full day of travel, and several full days of hard work with limited breaks, before they return to their hometown. They go to Kentucky to repair and rebuild homes, and to educationally impact the children. The level of poverty is beyond imagination, and the work that will be accomplished is vital for the people of McRoberts, Kentucky. There is always work to be done. Whether you are able to travel with the other volunteers, or if you are planning on staying home, there are many ways that you can participate in this important Mitzvah Trip.
