Arthur Levine Scholarship Fund
Provides post-high school education scholarships to Shaarai Shomayim youth
Barry Shiffrin Technology Fund
Subsidizes technology purchases
Cemetery Fund
Supports the ongoing upkeep required to maintain our historic cemetery
Edward Freedman Family Retreat Fund
Helps to offset costs associated with the bi-annual family retreat
Gilat Zikkaron - Joy of Remembrance Fund
Named in memory of longtime congregant Joy Schram, the fund was established to assist those who may need help with burial and memorial expenses
Lancaster Center for Adult Jewish Learning
Helps to support the wide array of study sessions, guest speakers, classes, and seminars which teach and inspire the community.
Loss Lecture Fund
Established in memory of Nathan and Natalie Loss, this fund supports the annual Scholar in Residence weekend, bringing world-class teachers and speakers to Shaarai Shomayim.
Miller Music Fund
Established in memory of Madaline and Lester Miller, this fund supports the annual Miller Music Festival, which is a full weekend of music featuring some of the best musical artists in the Jewish world.
Mitzvah Fund
The Rabbi’s discretionary fund, which is used to help those within the community in various ways.
Paskoff Camper Fund
Provides scholarship money to kids attending Jewish camps and other Jewish summer experiences.
Peitzman Youth Technology Fund
Established in memory of Shirley and Leonard Peitzman, this fund is used to provide technology to Sh’arim, our Religious School program.
Ronda Shiffrin Cantorial Music Fund
This fund supports the work of the Cantorial musicians, whose music enhances our experiences and provides depth to our religious services.
